30 for 30 Challenge: Day 20

Two thirds of the way there!!!! If I’m honest, when I started this challenge I really wasn’t sure I’d get this far! I’m still struggling to be inspired by the 30 items at the moment but I’m hoping this will change in the next couple of days and I am planning to up the styling for some more madcap outfits:

I am wearing: Marks and Spencer cardigan (gift), Asos dress (£19), gifted belt, MAWI for Asos ring (£14.50) and Marks and Spencer shoe-boots (£15).

I introduce to you, in today’s outfit, my boot-iful shoe-boots:

They were a complete bargain and despite being pretty high, they are surprisingly comfortable. My new favourite shoes. Although they have been sitting on my shoe rack for almost 6 months without being worn! Oh well, better late than never.

I think I’ve reached a kind of “wall” in the challenge. I don’t feel very inspired right now. So apologies for the uninspired outfit that I bring you today:

I originally began like this this morning. But when I headed home at lunchtime, the sun had come out and I realised that what I really needed was a bit of colour… So, I added some:

And then a bit more!!

Sorry for the slight pause in proceedings on the 30 for 30 challenge. I am still on – don’t worry, I haven’t given up again!

This is today’s outfit. You will have noticed, I love this dress. I am also starting to love the waist belt. I usually dress this dress down but today decided to add the Next heels for a bit of work chic:

Have been wanting to wear this Dorothy Perkins’ blouse ever since I first wore it. But wanted to give it long enough for you all not to get too fed up with it! What do you reckon?

Day 15 is half way to 30. After a weekend of fun and frolicks in London, it was back to work with a bump this morning! Boo! But I decided to brighten my look a bit today, despite the rain:

30 for 30 Challenge: Day 14

Today is the very first appearance of my Dorothy Perkins maxi skirt for this challenge and the very first time I have worn this maxi with my Oasis boots. My Oasis boots, which have got such a lot of wear since I bought them, they have already had to be re-heeled!! (For anyone in Cardiff, I seriously recommend going to Crwys Key-Cutting: 96, Crwys Rd, Cardiff, South Glamorgan CF24 4NQ. Tel: 029 2034 4799. I have been going to “my man” here for years and his prices are very reasonable and he is quick – always does a pair of heels while you wait!)

Hi Sugar and Spice readers… I’m Katy from ModlyChic and today Emily and I are switching blogs.

We’re both in the midst of the 30 for 30 challenge and I’m working on bringing more color into my dressing choices. This dress, outfit 13 of 30 for me, I usually wear with an off-white or jean jacket but that was too basic. Instead I went with this great pink jacket that I scored at a clothing swap. To be honest it smells a little funky – probably from sitting in storage for a while, but a little perfume helps cover the smell:

Not looking completely “with it” in this photo (as my mother would say!) – clearly I needed the coffee in my hand!

I am wearing: Next aviator jacket (not a part of the 30 for 30 challenge but a necessity on a cool morning!), H&M scarf, Primark long sleeved tee, Topshop jeans and Oasis bottines.

My clothes look similar for the past few days because I have had to head home for a few days due to a family bereavement and I seemed to forget to pack anything!! Oh well. Back to my “full” 30 for 30 wardrobe tomorrow.
