Street Style Stalker: Spanish Señorita

Carmen’s style first caught my eye at the South Wales Fashion Blogger Meet but annoyingly I failed to snap a photo of the Spanish señorita, particularly annoyed that I didn’t get a photo of her fabulous studded Topshop pumps that I am now on the hunt for!

The next night, however, I bumped into Carmen, of Room On The Third Floor, again, at the second birthday bash for the Oxfam Boutique in Cardiff and did snap her this time:

What do you think of Carmen’s style?

I know that many of you currently read Sugar and Spice through Google Friend Connect (thank you, by the way!) however I have discovered that from Marh next year, you won’t be able to, so in order to not miss out on a single post, please take a quick moment to sign up to one of the other ways that will still be available to follow Sugar and Spice in 2012:

Street Style Stalker: blonde bombshell

I spotted this girl straight off when I arrived at the Oxfam Boutique birthday bash and snapped a quick, slightly blurred shot:

Her blonde hair, red lipstick and simple black dress, temaed wth the scarf got my attention. Then, after the show, I decided to approach and ask for a better shot, which I got!

The one thing I didn’t ask for though, was her name! Bad bad street style photographer that I am! But, I did remember to give her my business card, so hopefully, if you’re reading this, let me know who you are!!

Her boots also caught my eye, just as I was about to walk away:

Love a bit of faux fur on shoes!

Street Style Stalker: foxy friends

These two friends caught my eye as I was photographing the models in the catwalk show at the Oxfam Boutique event and couldn’t wait to photograph them afterwards. And then I noticed the fox scarf. How amazing is that? And it’s from H&M too, so you can rock the foxy look if you fancy! I can’t find it online but you can find their selection of faux fur scarves online and I did spot the fox scarf in-store at the weekend (priced at a very reasonable £12.99).

In all the excitement of the fox, I completely forgot to ask the girls their names, so if you’ve found me girls, please email me.

I also loved the red flower in the hair of the girl on the left. Have you noticed how, more often than not, it’s just one detail of a whole outfit that makes it really pop? I’m not saying that without these details the rest of the outfits aren’t eye-catching, just that it is these little details that make you really turn and take notice.

Do you pay attention to the details when you’re dressing up for an event?

Street Style Stalker: The illustrator

Check out the really rather wonderful retro style of the equally wonderful illustrator, Kit:

I met Kit at the Oxfam Boutique event. She was doing quick sketches and illustrations of those at the event and they were amazingly detailed! She’s just started her own blog to showcase her illustrations as she’s now studying the art at UWIC! So, go on and check it out!!

I love her retro style and the polka dots. She told me that the skirt was in the sales but I forgot to ask where from. I love how she’s tied the scarf and dubled it around her hair – and then, of course, the red lipstick. I try and try to find a red lipstick that will suit me but I always end up back with pinks or neutral shades. I love the red in the Kate Moss for Rimmel London collection but still, I’m just not sure it suits me.

What’s your lipstick shade of choice?

Street Style Stalker: All that glitters…

The other week I fell head over heels for these sparkly beauties over on Street Style London (photographed by Jill at LFW). And I’m still on the hunt for them. But then at the Second Birthday Bash for the Oxfam Boutique in Cardiff, I spotted these two fabulous pairs of sparkly shoes:

In looooooove!!!!

And then it seems that everyone has the glitter bug, including the lovely Louise of Lou Lou Muses.

Have you got the glitter bug? Does it extend beyond shoes?

If you fancy rocking some glitter footwear, why not check out these?

*The gold glitter shoes were on the feet of Kupra Patel, the founding director of TEACH, a charity which hasbuilt schools and developed learning programmes, working alongside communities in Ghana and Tanzania.
