Postcard from Morocco

For the past week I have been exploring Morocco with my boyfriend. Hence, the radio silence and lack of any LFW coverage. However, I can offer some rather amazing photos from our trip. More will be on the Sugar & Spice Facebook page very soon and I’ll be posting more here too. For now, here are photos from the first three days in the country.

[INSPIRATION] 5 Pairs Of Shoes For Morocco

My Morrocan holiday is getting ever closer and so my thoughts are turning to how inappropriate everything in my wardrobe is for the trip! So I have put together five pairs of shoes that would be perfect for the trip:

1. Sandals: It’s going to be hot.
2. Trainers: I’ve done a lot of reading and apparently the streets in Morocco are not particularly clean, so closed-toe shoes are necessary.
3. Flip flops: For wearing around the rhiad, if nowhere else.
4. Boat shoes: As above with the trainers, however these are a darker shade and will wear better over the course of a week in a dusty environment.
5. Boots: We are taking a two day trip through the mountains and desert, so a pair of ankle boots would be ideal for keeping the sand and evening cold off my feet.

[INSPIRATION] Cox & Kings Holiday Wardrobe Challenge: What To Wear In Morocco

I don’t often take up challenges from companies when I am contacted but when the luxury holidays firm, Cox & Kings, got in touch about their blogger challenge, it seemed like fate. The boyf and I had just booked flights for a 10-day trip to Morocco later in the year and whilst being rather childishly excited about the prospect of exploring the country, I was also filled with doubt over what to wear! Cox & Kings, therefore, were asking us to choose one of the countries to which they organise their tailor made holidays and create a pinboard of a 10-piece holiday wardrobe. No sooner said than done! You may have guessed already, I chose Morocco. Over the next 10-days or so I will be pinning like mad and will report back with my 10-piece capsule wardrobe.
