Christmas is coming! Had you heard?!

It is my most favourite time of the year. I love the build up to the big day and feel like a little kid in the month or two before Christmas as the festive season really takes.

Last Thursday I was invited to kick off the Christmas season with Crabtree & Evelyn with their Cracker Spectacular at their Regent Street store.

We were invited for breakfast, cracker scratch cards and Christmas gifts galore!

Crabtree & Evelyn are launching a ‘Hand Care Amnesty’ campaign.

Anyone can bring in their old hand cream (any brand, no need for it to be a Crabtree & Evelyn one) and trade it for a new Crabtree & Evelyn hand cream (worth £5).

Last week Crabtree & Evelyn launched their newest collection: English Honey and Peach Blossom. To celebrate they are hosting a Facebook competition all week with daily prizes from the collection to be won.

The English Honey and Peach Blossom collection includes a host of new products and we’ve been trying out a couple. This collection of winter skin saviours is keeping us going through the harsh cold weather.

Crabtree & Evelyn have chosen a natural extract of wild flower honey renowned for its ability to hydrate extremely dry, parched skin to create this collection.

[BEAUTY] New Crabtree & Evelyn Nail Polish Collection

Tomorrow (Thursday 19 September) sees a very exciting launch: Crabtree & Evelyn are releasing a 21-colour strong nail collection! From pistachio green to eggplant purple and tomato red to sky blue – there’s a colour for everyone in this collection.

The polishes will be available online and in store for just £6.

For the past couple of weeks I’ve been trying out the polishes. I’m currently wearing the deep purple shade, Eggplant. The colours in this collection are true. They are highly glossy and durable.

To get an opaque look, I definitely needed two coats. Once they were both done, they lasted well and were shiny for days too. They did take a little while to dry – I’m kind of impatient when it comes to waiting for my nail polish, so I ended up doing one coat, one evening and another the next day.

At £6 a bottle, they’re really good value for money too. The bottles are squared which will look chic on your dressing table.

I always love a good “What’s In My Bag” post, so I thought that rather than show you the entire contents of my bag – which doesn’t change all that often – I’d show you in my make-up bag that resides in my handbag. I use the term make-up loosely as there isn’t much make-up going on in the bag!

What’s in my bag: 1. L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream; 2. Crabtree & Evelyn Gardeners Antibacterial Gel Hand Wash*; 3. Boots No7 Poppy King Lipstick in Glamour; 4. Kate Moss x Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick; 5. Boots No7 Moisture Drench Lipstick in Rumour*; 6. Boots 17 Nail Xtras Double Gloss Top Coat*; 7. Boots 17 Nail Xtras Strengthening Base Coat Nail Polish*; and 8. Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm*.

The Cath Kidston bag is a sale bargain I picked up after Christmas and that is the perfect handbag size. And includes a mirror too. I always have a multitude of lip products in my bag as I never have time to apply lipstick before I leave the house. My favourite lipstick – and the one I use the most – is the Boots No7 in Rumour – it’s not only really moisturising but also is a great neutral tone which almost exactly matches my own lip colour and goes with anything. The Crabtree & Evelyn** Gardeners Antibacterial Gel Hand Wash was gifted to me during Fashion Week and I’ve used it a lot since. I’m a firm advocate that you need a healthy amount of germs to keep you fighting fit but I also find myself a little yucked out by the stair rails in the Tube, so have been using the gel for trips to the capital and keeping it in my bag for any other times it might be useful. The Boots 17 Nail Xtras are the basics I always use and can be combined with whichever polish I’m currently wearing. I’ve taken to wearing the base coat on its own recently and I rarely have time to paint on a top coat, so I try to do this whenever I’m on public transport.
