[NEW] See By Chloé Sandals

Right now, I’m on an aeroplane, heading towards the Spanish sun! I can’t wait to feel the sand between my toes and have the salty sea water create lovely beachy waves in my hair!

Whenever I go on holiday – and every year at the beginning of summer – I treat myself to a new pair of sandals. As I have usually worn last years right through the soles! This season, I have been a little extravagant and treated myself to these lovelies by See by Chloé:

[NEW] Studded Ankle Boots

20130108-193054.jpgAllow me to introduce the newest addition to my shoe rack: my new Betty London studded ankle boots.

I have been looking for a pair of casual ankle boots since the autumn. Something to wear at weekends. My criteria weren’t too specific – really!!

I wanted the boots to be:

  • Flat;
  • Taupe coloured;
  • Preferably suede, but leather if not;
  • With a little added detail.

I didn’t actually think I’d find a pair that fitted the bill quite so completely but these really do tick every box. I particularly love the studs on the toe cap and the fact that the suede already looks worn in and I imagine will get better with age.

I plan to style the boots with simple skinny jeans and an oversized knit, something like this maybe: Continue reading “[NEW] Studded Ankle Boots”

[NEW] Uniqlo x Comptoir des cotonniers: Mademoiselle Plume

Uniqlo have had some seriously hot collaborations this year: Banner Barrett; Lulu Guinness; Velvet by Graham & Spencer; Laura Ashley; Orla Kiely; and now, Comptoir des cotonniers.

The Comptoir des cotonniers collection for Uniqlo features a reversible down jacket and a similarily reversible down gilet. Taking Uniqlo’s best selling down coats and adding a little je-ne-sais-quoi to the mix, they have produced some really lust-worthy pieces that many a fashionista will be happily sporting this winter to keep them warm. [NEW] Havaianas Shoes

I have new shoes! New Havaianas shoes – for my holidays – to be precise:

These espadrilles – along with my other Havaianas – will be coming on holiday with me next week. There are so many reasons why these shoes are perfect for lots of walking and sight seeing in a dusty city like Marrakech, but I’ll go with just six: Continue reading “[NEW] Havaianas Shoes”

[INTRODUCING] Liberty for Clarks

Liberty prints are huge this summer, with collaborations with Nike and now Clarks. If you’re after some pretty summer shoes, look no further than this collection which elegantly combines creative design and pretty prints.

Founded in 1875, the Liberty name is synonymous with luxury and great design. This special collaboration, Liberty Art Fabrics, features a whole range of styles for the women’s spring/summer collection.

Inspired by florals from the 1920s, the limited edition collection features an oriental archival design which was originally created in 1966. It has been updated for spring/summer 2012, in bold blue or soft white, by Zandra Rhodes who is the latest in a long line of iconic designers who have worked with the store.

Personally, I love the wedge sandals – which would look great on holiday with a maxi dress. and why not go all-out and pair with the bag?!

[NEW] Antik Batik embellished sandals

For me, no matter what the trends showcased on the catwalks at Paris and Milan are for Spring/Summer, I always tend to gravitate towards anything even a little boho when the sun eventually comes out. Sienna Miller in her early days as an actress is my reference point for the look. So it should come as no surprise really that Antik Batik, the brand which practically bases its entire look on the boho aesthetic has become my latest obsession!

Italian-born Gabriella Cortese, set up her brand Antik Batik in Paris in 1992 after a trip to Indonesia. It is easy to see the eastern influences in her designs. Dyed silks, beaded embellishments and fringes are all a part of Cortese’s designs.

I first spotted these sandals over on Pinterest and decided immediately that they should be mine! I even blogged about them last month. Shoes are the one place that I will often experiment with colour/embellishment/style. I eventually found them – in my size – at Spartoo and snapped them up! As they are a flat design they can easily be worn during the day, on holiday for sight-seeing and look dressy enough, with the beading, to wear in the evening too. My perfect kind of shoe!
