On my return from the Eternal City, all I have seen have been the wonderful photographs from the advertising campaign for the new perfume from Valentino – Valentina – featuring style icon Freya Beha Erichsen running around Rome and the exquisite telelvision advertising campaign that has accompanied the launch:

Did you know that that delicious Italian dessert, Tiramisu, actually translates to, Pick-Me-Up? [Actually, tira-mi-su.]

On a sweltering hot Sunday in October, the boyf and I made our way to end of the line of tourists waiting to enter the scene of many a gruesome gladitorial battle.

It is a truly awesome building, even by today’s standards but considering it was built nearly two thousand years ago makes it even more impressive.
