[CHEAP VS CHIC] Mulberry postman's lock purse

My sister came home for Christmas with this lovely purse from Urban Outfitters however within hours of buying it, she’s managed to scratch it! So when I spotted them on sale for £5 – yes, £5!!!! – I knew I’d be a terrible sister if I didn’t get her a new one. And I’d definitely be a bad blogger if I didn’t tell you about this incredible bargain. And, after my trip to Bicester Village last weekend, I couldn’t help but notice the similarity between this purse and the Mulberry Postman’s Lock purse – just for a little less!

What do you think of this bargain purse? Any bargains you’ve picked up recently?

DISCOUNT: 20% off at Urban Outfitters

There is nothing better than a little discount code at one of your favourite high street stores just before payday when funds are looking a little depleted but the weekend is looming and thanks to Urban Outfitters there’s 20% off until 8 am tomorrow morning with the code JINGLE. So why not treat yourself to a little something?

A dress for Friday night cocktails with the girls?

A jumper to keep warm on a leisurely Sunday afternoon stroll perhaps?

And a chic rucksack to carry any necessary essentials:

Or a book to curl up on the sofa and read?

Or how about a lovely crisp clean new notebook to write all of your thoughts and plans and dreams?

What will you treat yourself to?

What Was I Wearing: Brilliant Basics from American Apparel

Remember how Grazia offered 25% off American Apparel recently? Well, I picked up a few things with the discount, including this t-shirt. A plain tee is always a great addition to any wardrobe that can be dressed up or down and this time, rather than my usual black or grey, I chose this heather forest shade.

I was wearing: American Apparel Poly-Cotton T-shirt in Heather Forest; American Apparel Jersey Pocket Skirt; Marks and Spencer necklace; and Urban Outfitters watch.

You might have noticed that since I had my hair cut at London Fashion Week, it has grown a fair amount and is now looking a little unruly. I am planning to book a hair appointment soon. Any thoughts on what I should go for this time would be most appreciated!

Where do you buy your basics?

[LFW] What Was I Wearing: Day 3

Today was my last day in London for this weekend. I have had such a wonderful weekend and few days at London Fashion Week and have come home completely rejuvenated and with lots of ideas for the blog. I have many many more photos from the shows I attended to show you, so look out for them in the coming days, weeks and months.

I’m wearing: (very old) Topshop biker jacket, Dorothy Perkins vest, BDG berry jeans from Urban Outfitters, Esprit wedge shoes and Clarks bag.

Before I hit the hay tonight, here is a little teaser for what I got up to today in London, with my fashion partners in crime, The It Girl and The Online Stylist:

Hope you’ve all had a good weekend. What have you been up to?

Jump around: dinner date

Last month I blogged about this 18 AND EAST Rose Print Jumpsuit which was on sale at Clothing at Tesco and I couldn’t help but snap one up for myself. The print is so pretty and the jumpsuit shape is so easy to wear! It can work as a day look but also be dressed up for a relaxed evening look with a simple pair of heels, which is what I wore for a dinner date with the boyfriend:

I’m wearing: 18 AND EAST jumpsuit, Blink heels (via Spartoo) and a lot of accessories:

I am wearing: Urban Outfitters watch; bangles from Next and various market stalls; “Love” bracelet from Accessorize; and hooped bracelet by TIA by Made.

What do you think? Have you rocked the playsuit yet? Or is it a bit too like a romper suit to work for a grown adult?

What Was I Wearing: rainy days

Today I’ve gone for the androgynous look. You know those mornings when you know what you want to wear but the weather just isn’t playing along? Well, today was one of those!! I had planned a cute dress with the brogues but then I looked out of the window… and it was raining! So jeans it was for me:

The t-shirt really didn’t look right hanging out (like the slob that I am!!) so I tucked it in and was good to go!

I haven’t worn a watch in years but when I saw this one for a fiver in
Urban Outfitters I grabbed it. It’s more like an extra bracelet to add to all of those that I was wearing at the time of purchase but I’m actually enjoying not having to get my phone out everytime I want to know the time – how old-fashioned?!

These are, of course, my bargainous Marks and Spencer brogues that I got last month. I think they work well with trousers that are rolled up and allow them to be seen in all of their glory, don’t you? (The boyf calls them my “boy shoes”!)
What do you wear on rainy days in summer?
I am wearing: Gap tee and jeans, Pearl Lowe for Peacocks cardigan, Marks and Spencer brogues, Urban Outfitters watch, Tiffany neckace and Pieces bracelet.
I have added a little poll in the top of the right hand column, if you have a spare second – please choose your response. Thank you.

What I Wore for Afternoon Tea

I know I haven’t done many outfit posts recently but I had to show off my shiny new shoes on my trip for afternoon tea with my mum at the weekend, so for your viewing pleasure:

After tea, mum and I took a walk in the gardens by the teahouse – in the rain!!

I wore an Urban Outfitters top (reduced from £35 to £15), H&M jeans (£9.99) and Marks and Spencer Limited Collection brogues (reduced from £25 to £15!!).

I finished the outfit off with my Marc Jacobs bargain wish bone necklace.

To check out more photos of my beautiful new shiny brogues, make sure to visit the Sugar & Spice Facebook page.
