[LUST LIST] Five Party Dresses For Under £200

‘Tis the season… to party! And if you’re in the market for a new frock, make sure you check out my top five picks below, each under £200:

5 Christmas party dresses

  1. In winter, I like a party dress with long sleeves as I don’t have to worry so much about taking a coat too and this embellished shoulder dress by Warehouse combines party sparkle with practicality.
  2. This Warehouse leather and feather dress will ensure you make an entrance at your Christmas party – for all the right reasons!
  3. This is the perfect time of year to rock some sequins and this dress by Baukjen is as sparkly as they come, with the added bonus of sleeves.
  4. If you’re not keen to rock an entirely sequined dress, choose one with a little detail on the bodice, like this Oasis party dress.
  5. But if sequins are you’re thing, they don’t come much more sparkly than Reiss’ Karmen beaded dress.

What will you be wearing for the office Christmas party this year?

[LUST LIST] Rubert Sanderson Shoes

Rupert Sanderson has a pretty big celebrity following, with everyone from the Duchess of Cambridge, to Gwyneth Paltrow and Sienna Miller and Kiera Knightley amongst those wearing his shoes on a regular basis. With over 10 years experience in the shoe making business Englishman Rupert Sanderson began his apprenticeship with some of the best known Italian shoe makers, including Sergio Rossi, and uses this experience today to create his masterpieces:

According to his biography, “The secret to Rupert Sanderson’s success is his relentless approach to ever refining his shoes, aspiring to make the most beautiful, versatile and comfortable shoes that women can buy.”

Every pair of Rupert Sanderson shoes is hand crafted in his own factory in Bologna, in Italy and marries the traditional Italian craftsmanship of shoe-making with his own distinctive avant-garde designs: Continue reading “[LUST LIST] Rubert Sanderson Shoes”

[LUST LIST] Tie Dye Scarf by Antik Batik

Tie dye is everywhere right now. After being all over the catwalks for SS12, like at Isabel Marant above, it is now on high street for the summer. You could go all out and wear all tie dye, or maybe choose one piece to wear the trend, either a tee, or a dress, or even a pair of shoes. If you’d rather try the trend before buying completely into it, why not start with an accessory to add to your summer outfits? Like this Antik Batik scarf:

Are you wearing tie dye this summer? Will you do it yourself, or buy it?

[LUST LIST] Prada-inspired brogues

Whilst browsing the virtual racks at Spartoo this morning – looking for a new pair of black brogue shoes for my mother – I happened upon these Betty London brogues. With their coloured sole they remind me of last year’s It-shoe*, the Prada flatform brogue/creepers/esparille/sneakers that had the whole fashion crowd going mad for! These are a slightly less extravagant option with less of the flatform but enough colour to turn heads! Plus, they happen to be a purse friendlier £60.99 (as opposed to the slightly bank-manager-cold-sweat-inducing £510 of the Prada options!).

If the black with red sole is a little too tame for you, however, how about this rather fabulous patent red option?

If you’re looking for a pair of flat shoes to keep your feet comfy but that will make an impact, these are definitely the shoes for you!

Would you wear these? I am sorely tempted to grab a pair for my Fashion Week wardrobe**!

* Does such a thing exist as an It-shoe?!

** Not that I’m really that organised!!
